Motor

Dropped the small Cub engine into the frame. Glad its only a 50lb lump. Three easy bolts slotted home and it sits comfortably as it should. There is a few alignment issues to address: chain line, rear brake pedal cable and stop, wheel spacing, fork swing. Its a matter of assemble, disassemble… Repeat…..x12…

Truly taking shape now!

  1. This might sound daft.. but do advise.?
I had no idea Black and Decker could be bought in the US.. or did you take that work-station with you from home.?
One of the best and cleverest bits of kit invented for everyman, in my lifetime. I don’t know how Joe Ordinary might manage without one. I couldn’t, even if these days mine does not come out so often [house restorations etc being largely behind me..].

Did you get the Goodwood stuff I sent.?

    • It was acquired here. You’re right there’s nothing else like it. Any amateur DIYist must have one. It folds down, clamps, tables items to your height. This one has now supported three motorcycle rebuilds. There are a few B&D things here. My smaller cordless drill driver is one. Otherwise you buy Sears’ Craftsman tools for similar quality.

I wish one day to get to a Goodwood Revival … However I’ll need a ‘month o’ Sundays’ before me to plan that trip! The videos will have to do for now though.
