Clubman – also known in original guise as the Traveller, Estate, Austin ‘Shooting Brake’. People loved Sir Alec Issigonis’ diminutive Mini but needed a slightly larger carrier. Hence the longer wheelbase.

We had a couple of Mini Clubman Estates back in the 80’s, great cars, nippy, versatile & easy to fix. Sadly rotted & rusted easily too. But the name Minx was used in the 60’s by Hillman, my dad & my father in law both had a Hillman Minx as a family car.
