Robbie Baby

Big Red

This evening’s Dick Van Dyke show was the episode when Rob Petrie brings home a motorcycle. Laura isn’t too happy; but he puts on the leather jacket given to him from Buddy and Sally and heads out onto the road. Sixties sitcom hilarity ensues.

Hardly Davidson

The bike used was a 50cc step through cycle based on many a European scooter of the day.

Aad bikes ’n’ stuff

Morries Place

Eyes Wide Open

Yerkes Observatory

– glorious weather for a decent jaunt around Lake Geneva WI. Stopped in at the big telescope in Williams Bay. Beautiful building that houses historical world class astronomical equipment. The dome behind the bikes has the 41” reflector.

Rollerball

Johnathon E

– long sighted movie from 1975 starring the recently deceased James Caan (1940-2022). Ultraviolet corporate sport is the global entertainment and the individual personality is quashed. Inspired stories in my childhood comic 2000ad.

As architect and city planner Daniel Burnham said: “Make no little plans. They have no magic to stir men’s blood and probably will not themselves be realized.” Well his 1909 plan for Chicago isn’t little.
