– very nice temperatures as we rode up a fairly quiet Sheridan Road to Lake Bluff. A waxing crescent moon hung over the western horizon. A hint of earth glow countered with a bright Venus.

– some Tiger owner took a photo of their grandmother after a ride and added an older snap of her in younger days with a Royal Enfield 125 nearly 70 years prior.

We were behind this van coming home along the lakefront. Good range of 70’s band names.

– an early Sunday saw me in Grant Park at 5am to meet with the others in the motorcycle crew for this year’s Triathlon. Again, I ferried Oli the photographer around the course to allow him to capture the athletes. Mostly loops up Lake Shore Drive, but also rode along the busway, a secretive road between the Illinois Center and McCormick, and some sections of the south lakefront trail to see the runners. Nice team and splendid weather.

I needed to park the Tiger on the street today. The garage was closed off due to Greek-fest. The green cat-bike looked cool in front of the vintage brickwork and under a dappled tree canopy.

– Stephen Fry celebrates his 64th birthday today. Along with Hugh Laurie, he was one half of the celebrated duo of mirth.
