Jolie Jeune Femme a Vendredi – don’t let the glasses and smile deceive you! I bet this classic Triumph riding lass would stamp on yer toes; knee you in the nuts; and leave you in the dust if you much as treated her any less than a woman fully deserves to be. And I’d support her for it! #strongwomen
Cooler King – slim chinos, cut down sweatshirt, cigarette and Persol shades: he epitomizes Cool. A Triumph TR-6 dresses up to look German hits the mark too.
Spindrift Shadows – low arctic sun, hazy frozen sky and wisps of ice particles wash across some upper latitude highway. Make sure you’re wrapped up and heated devices and garnets are switched to ‘Sahara’. This looks cool – literally and figuratively.
Marcus Motorcyclist – lead singer of folk rock musician troupe Mumford & Sons enjoys Triumphs old and new. His distinctive raspy voice is a perfect accompaniment to the upbeat music that husband performs. Lookin’ cool MM!
Oxblood Docs – whizzing hardtail bobber being piloted by a bandana masked gal who wears jeans under her skirt. Badass! A Wild Cat indeed! Old time Triumph twin motor with a surefooted attitude.

Burns Night – in celebration of The Bard here are some fun photos taken by a Triumph owner back in 2002 as he rode his Amaranth Red hub sprung Triumph through the lochs and glens of Scotland. As they romp through Glencoe they stop at the layby near it’s summit where they ask the piper to pose with Daisy.
Stormtrooper- I recently scored a deal on eBay with this pair of Aerostich ‘Combat Touring Boots’. Made by the Italian firm Sidi they are now discontinued and becoming quite sought after. They’ll be ideal for the Tiger and roadward adventure yet to be. Leather is in good condition with a nice broken-in patina, buckles in good order as is the Velcro side tabs. Sold have a bit of life left in them too.
Dapper ‘n’ Dignified- here’s a chap looking quite at home leaning over the ace bars of his cafe’d Triumph. Good looking beard and shaped ‘tasche; which, along with the waistcoat, darkened goggles and slick half helmet, look perfect for the Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride that this fella was heading to.

Tee Triumph – once relegated to undergarment duty the ubiquitous t-shirt has become the mainstay of casual clothing. Whether the plain white tee as worn by US sailors in WW2 or the black concert tee adorning teens at their bands live show. Me? I’m fond of a soft cotton ‘shirt emblazoned with my favorite motorcycle marque. There are more and more out there every year. Vintage graphics work the best.

Merchandise- the New Years Honours list was published today… little did I know but actor Henry Winkler was made an honorary OBE back in 2012. As we know he was The Fonz, cool greaser in the hot 70’s tv shoe Happy Days. As with any popular character there was plenty of supporting items for sale.
Rural Idyll – what better way to enjoy the bucolic surroundings of the countryside than aboard a blue Thunderbird. This classically illustrated image evokes so much enjoyment for a riding experience. “Pet! Let’s gan oot for a spin! I’ll waam the bike up; best put yor Tweed skort on it’ll be a tad parky!”
Vanishing Point- nice graphic used for a screenwriter school ad. Using Easy Rider as an example of ‘write your own movie!’ The artist uses a tweed garbed scholarly academian with a worried look about him riding into town on a classic Triumph Bonneville.
Quilt – Another offering in attire from Lucky Brand. This one is a lightly insulated khaki jacket splashed with a proud Japanese inspired illustration bearing the Triumph logo, a crouching Tiger and catchy slogan.
Embroidered- I saw this very smart sweater on someone the other day. By clothes label Lucky Brand I’ve been looking for it online but it’s a past line and hence discontinued. High collar and zippered front it would make an ideal layer under an adventure oriented riding jacket.
