The Prophet

Ann Margaret rides again; the original movie two-wheeled action girl. Here starring in an Italian comedy film: a guru’s groupie plans to seduce him so she can number him among her many conquests. Not sure where the goat fits. This moto looks decidedly like an appropriately selected Guzzi.

More A-M moto images; here seen riding a Triumph and Norton. The red hair flowing like Red Molly of Richard Thompsons iconic song about a Vincent Black Lightning 1952.

LEGO – The Great Escape

Growing up this would have fit the bill in so many ways: LEGO was my favourite toy, The Great Escape my favourite film and motorcycles my favourite in all. I’m not so sure of the KTM derived orange dirt bike though; a nice blue drab german Beemer would be a better look.

I do like a bit of Wensleydale

The daring duo of our intrepid inventor hero, Wallace, and his worthy sidekick, Gromit. Here flying the chair of a red Triumph combination. Jolly Good Fun!    “Cracking good job, Gromit!”

An Honorable Mention

A great piece of artwork by the illustrator Louise Limb of Honor Blackman; she of The Avengers and James Bond.

A Pukka Ride indeed!

Hugh Laurie, aka Gregory House MD, aka, Prince George The Prince Regent, aka Lt. The Hon. George Colthurst St Barleigh, aka Bertie Wooster, and a former Cambridge Footlighter and other half of a bit of Fry & Laurie. As has been noted before he is an ardent motorcyclist and the Triumph being his fave. Here a nice olive green Scrambler a la McQueen.

Bikin’ the Beverly foot-Hills…

Actor Ryan Reynold, yes The Green Lantern, here scooting around Hollywood on a cafe’d Triumph Thruxton. Blacked-out pipes & ‘gin, chopped fender & bellowed forks; Ace bars, smaller headlight and a cherry of a tank tops it off. Toting gear in a leather satchel, whilst trying to appear anonymous.

Dunno ’bout him, but that Hinkley Moto is a real head turner!

Rebel Rouser

Bruce Dern appearing roguish with his lightly customized Triumph; cowhorn bars, peanut tank and sissy bar.

Triple Cool

What could be more hip than these three tootling about the set of The Great Escape on this German Rig. McQueen ‘Hilts’ driving; Garner ‘The Scrounger’ pillion and Coburn ‘Sedgwick’ sitting lazily in the chair. Director John Sturges looks on.

It’s an Honor

The truly beautiful Honor Blackman, atop a gorgeous Norton, looking at home for sure. Indeed she is the original action girl with such characters as Pussy Galore in Goldfinger, opposite the one true Bond, Sean Connery, as well as being the first Avenger opposite Steed: Cathy Gale.

Cathy goes undercover in a biker gang in the episode “Build a Better Mousetrap”; donning her usual black leather suit astride a Royal Enfield. Steed, with bowler and ‘brolly goes pillion.

A later publicity shot of Honor aboard a Honda (750cc) the very one that usurped the British motorcycle industry in the 70’s; though I think it did that itself!
The English rose exudes Italian flair too: here posing with a scooter. Well it has two wheels!
