The nose of the Tiger might be unliked by some with its proboscis protruding from the eye-like headlights; but I find it offers a strong moto statement aiming for the road ahead.

– two horse versus 94 ponies. Nice old farm box wagon at a driveway in Northern Illinois. To think that people used to travel around the country on dirt roads with transportation such as this. Me? I’d rather have be on my Tiger over those rural lanes.

Nature’s first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf’s a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.
Robert Frost – 1874-1963

– halfway along Fairfield Road a little north of Volo sits this ragged red clapped barn. I’ve passed by it numerous times so decided to stop today and memorialize its presence on the Lake County outings.

– A stop-in at Waukegan Beach gives a nice view across the azure hued water of mishigami. One day I’ll have to take the Tiger along the sands for fun.

– Bright skies over Waukegan Harbor today. Cool Fall weather has arrived with a brisk breeze off the water sends the 50* temperature into the forties.

A content mog sitting like a fresh loaf of bread by this adventuresome Tiger. It is my humble belief that cats are truly our masters.
“In ancient times cats were worshipped as gods; they have not forgotten this.” – Terry Pratchett

– the cats eyesight has evolved for use in low light level use. Like the feline sort my Triumph Tiger is an adept animal after the sun sinks. The elusive sunset phenomenon won’t be seen here in the Midwest. You need good atmospheric conditions over an ocean to spot the brief moment the refractive conditions of a mirage of the sunk sun provides a merest peep of green light. However the Tiger is my “green flash” which can be enjoyed long after dusk.

– a luminous early evening ride with a fresh autumnal atmosphere. Setting orb of the sun drops behind the fading foliage. The Tiger carried me effortlessly into the dusk.

– as the days shorten the weather maintains an optimum balance of sun and temperatures. In my mind this is perfect conditions. I had a site meeting so took the Tiger out for a prowl to enjoy the day.
