My earliest football memory is watching the great Brazilian player Pelé fly gracefully across a pitch and seem to magically transform the ball into a floating orb. He was a champion for the sport and a global ambassador for sportsmanship. I found a couple of magazine advertisements in Portuguese for a Honda 125, which I’m sure was sold by the stadium load in that country. Soichiro Honda is seen with Pelé in the center image. Brazil became a major manufacturing location for the smaller Hondas.
The latest “Knives out” offering from Rian Johnson sees Daniel Craig as the southern gentleman master detective Benoit Blanc. A quick motorcycle cameo has Dave Bautista arriving to the dock on a Triumph Rocket. The bike is suitably scaled for the big framed Mr Bautista.
I saw this photo of a triumph twin engine awaiting restoration. It looks like an owl with large eyes staring down at you from its perch. Aloof and wise.

What better way to celebrate the Britishness of a burly 1200cc Daytona than to wrap the bodywork in the red, white and blue of the Union Flag. Unfurl your patriotism and twist the throttle until the deep rumble transforms into a high howl. Hang on! Things are about to get exciting!
