Robbie Baby
This evening’s Dick Van Dyke show was the episode when Rob Petrie brings home a motorcycle. Laura isn’t too happy; but he puts on the leather jacket given to him from Buddy and Sally and heads out onto the road. Sixties sitcom hilarity ensues.
The bike used was a 50cc step through cycle based on many a European scooter of the day.

Aad bikes ’n’ stuff
A visit to the premier classic British motorcycle shop in northern Illiniois was also included in the agenda. Always a treat to look over the various items parked shoulder to shoulder in the main display area. The workshop was so busy that bikes awaiting service and restoration work were stood outside.

Eyes Wide Open
– glorious weather for a decent jaunt around Lake Geneva WI. Stopped in at the big telescope in Williams Bay. Beautiful building that houses historical world class astronomical equipment. The dome behind the bikes has the 41” reflector.

Green Necklace
This is always a good ride through the City. Taking a pleasant cruise through the leafy wide roads that connect a series of parks – from Logan Square in the north to Hyde Park in the south. As architect and city planner Daniel Burnham said: “Make no little plans. They have no magic to stir men’s blood and probably will not themselves be realized.” Well his 1909 plan for Chicago isn’t little.
