– splendid ride into Wisconsin for a lap around this resort ringed weekend destination. A delicious cup o’joe was enjoyed at Steamers in Williams Bay. Lots of boats on the water and hoards of ice cream licking visitors in Geneva town. A few leaves on the odd maple we’re turning.

A swing-by the planetarium to get the classic Chicago architectural backdrop. LSD was a mess but the view was worth it.

– hot off the presses is a gorgeous looking machine from Triumph. I bet it goes like the clappers.
Local bar in Wisconsin with a Yamaha parked under the bright streetlight. The beef patty Lady Dawn burger was delicious.
– a quick weekend away to rural Wisconsin. A farm tractor gathering piqued my interest as we drove through the Driftless. John Deere, Farmall, Massey. Some freshly restored, others under cool oily patina.
– nothing like the thunderous roar of the Vincent Twin. Not even the cacophony of an HD comes near. Pure engineering.
– very nice temperatures as we rode up a fairly quiet Sheridan Road to Lake Bluff. A waxing crescent moon hung over the western horizon. A hint of earth glow countered with a bright Venus.
– some Tiger owner took a photo of their grandmother after a ride and added an older snap of her in younger days with a Royal Enfield 125 nearly 70 years prior.
– the wellies and bobble hat make the photo. As well as the faraway serious ‘tude.
Piled behind some old Ford pistons and cam shafts. This Commando is in serious need of attention. Working on a plan to acquire it from my brother in law…
