Stop Light Intersection | Whilst commuting home there was an everyday street view in Evanston that I had to capture. A slightly motion blurred Triumph Speed Triple became the central focus as others made their way about town.

Stay Cool | Effortlessly is how Steve McQueen maintains his aplomb attitude. White shirt, black tie and Persol shades. The Viceroy cigarette barely hanging to his lower lip is pure effect.

Belisha Beacon | Lady Bonneville zooming through Los Angeles. Denim and crimson jacket flutter in the breeze.

‘Zines | Whatever your interest there is a magazine for it. And, in the specialist topic of motorcycling, there are sub genres covering everything from custom, classic/vintage, off road, on road, Day-to-day riding, travel & adventure. We have a great magazine store in Evanston with a great selection.

Campagne brouiller | Blurred vision of rurality. As the Memorial Weekend approaches then plans can be made for trips out of the hustle and bustle of the City. Leafy roads and sleepy villages under a lofty sun.

The Ton | Welsh Racer Malcolm Uphill thrashing his Triumph Thruxton around the Isle of Man circuit in 1970. Wire fencing encloses livestock fields beyond the rural road.

Air | Spring sunlight and warmth arrived today. Spinning a race bike around a sun kissed track would have been a good way to spend it. White Daytona under a bleached sky.

There’s a fella down the chip shop… | This image was doing the rounds a couple of weeks ago. Late night talk show host and former Saturday Night Live member Jimmy Fallon dressed as Elvis riding a Triumph Bonneville with a bear sitting at pillion. Vegas is undoubtably the destination.

Niki Lauder | He won the F1 world championship in 1975, 1977 & 1984 racing for both Ferrari and Maclaren. He had a horrific accident at the Nurburgring in ’76 where a fiery crash severely burned his head and toxic fumes damaged his lungs. His rivalry with James Hunt is legendary. He died earlier today aged 70.

Grand Prix | 1947 Triumph Tiger fettled and trimmed for speed. Perfect side elevation illustration in period airbrushed monochromatic.

Chi-Town Gangs | we had a day in west suburban Oak Park enjoying open house tours of Prairie Style homes from the early 20th Century. Here are some gang patches from this locality-such as the Road Runner MC. It’s a varied bunch much like the buildings we enjoyed today.

New Boots | I finally managed to get the new tires levered on to the wheels. These are made for half road half trail use. Like having a pair of Vibram soles on the bike. They are befitting the Tiger

Helsinki Spirit | My folks are enjoying their cruise around the Baltic. One further stop they had on the itinerary was the Finnish capital. My paw was kind enough to send this shot of an urban ready Triumph Scrambler. But I’m sure it’s used further afield through the lake scattered and wooded rural areas of the northern kingdom of Suomi.

Knobby Clarke | You can conjure up long forgotten or invent new creative curse words when changing a tire. Four ‘tar arns’, soapy water, elbow grease, and the job gets done… in 1 1/4 hours. I’m sure the front should go quicker now some semblance of a technique is being learned.

The Mouse and the Motorcycle | I need to conjure up a children’s book like this one… adventure for a diminutive rodent mammal. The original tale was written in 1965 by Beverly Cleary.
