– the weekend is finally here! Y’all have a good time folks!

– very happy lass stretched over a long low cafe’d Royal Enfield. Sometime in the late sixties.

Nicely sorted cafe’d Triumph with a breakfast theme. Just needs bacon, sausages, black pudding and a buttered slice washed down with a hot Cuppa.

Thruxton Tidy
– some dapper cove hoofing along a Miami quayside aboard his cafe’d Triumph.

– long gone is the day when I wanted my handlebars low in racing pose with clip-one. An agéd back and stiffening hips means I need to have the steering fettled to achieve a straighter searing position. The Tigers bars, though tall, still have me in a slight crouch. So I have fitted these Rox Risers which add 2” to the bar height. Huge difference. I sit tall with a commanding stature on the bike. Easy upgrade for me.

Slicked back hair, Raybans, leather jacket and turnip’d jeans. The BSA Gokdstar is just for effect. Smaht!

Rockers! Evocative photography of a ton-up boy taking off on his cafe’d ride. (The photo is actually a contemporary scene made to look period: the swing arm of the bike to the rear left has a hefty tire and matching swingarm)

The Leather Boys | classic early sixties biker film depicting a fictionalization of the rocker lifestyle in the UK. Gritty kitchen sink drama.

Arabian Nights | like some Aladdin character this overhead view of a modern Bonneville looks set to swiftly transport you across lands for adventure.

Motoblot | The annual pilgrimage to Chicago’s main open air motorcycle gathering was had today. Weather cooperated after stormy forecasts. Plenty to look at amongst the offering. The KZ900 in sparkly brown and oranges was a notable example; as was a display of the Danish in-line 4 workpony’s Nimbus.

Sepia | evocative photograph of decked out leather boy on his cafe’d Triumph. Low summer sun stretches hedgerow shadows across the road. Scarf across the mouth to keep the flies out.

Caff Lass | Amazing evocative image by talented photographer Nick Clemente. Frilly edged Lewis Leathers biker apparel is pure sixties on this Edie Sedgwick lookalike. The Ford Anglia parked in the backdrop is a perfect touch.

Three One Two | The area code for Chicago and today’s date March the Twelfth. Here’s a ripper of a custom cafe by the lads at Analog Motorcycles, a small scale custom ‘shop based in Waukegan IL. The donor bike is an ’08 Thruxton and plenty of goodies were added to its capable chassis to assemble a very unique machine. It ain’t brutish, nor a wallflower, but is purposeful with a confident stance.

Rocker Drumroll | Quiff’d and leather jacketed; this young leather boy curls his lip up at the camera ready to rumble the streets of inner cities and country A-roads alike.
