Black ‘n’ White & Red all over – more goodies spied at the weekend. A one lunged shark motif Suzuki grimacing down the road. The half century patina on an original complete Triumph Cub. The beautiful lines of a BSA A10 with stacked rifle emblem on the three cornered timing cover. And the L-twin Ducati which in this case included a bevel drive sight glass, polished tank completed the cafe style.
All good stuff.

The Bonnie looked quite splendid in the sun yesterday. Running quite well and handles the road with aplomb. Mad Dogs & Englishmen ‘n’ all that!

Norton – fine illustration by Jamie Hewlett, he of Tank Girl and Gorillaz, of a surly lass on a heavy duty Donny Park beast. Lithe lass with beefy tank and beefier wheels.
Don’t mess with this one!

Thruxton Thursday – together with wax masters Barbour International, Triumph Motorcycles D&O Customs created a real road racer from the apparent superlative twin moto. It’s called BIT2 and in silver, black and gold looks a rear hoot!
Here’s a video of its creation:

Mint Julep – bourbon headed beauty zooming across some foothill highway upon a sweet looking Bonnie.

Classic lines with formal elegance, this a machine to enjoy looking at and, I’m sure, riding.

Mid-Week: also known affectionately as hump day, sees us half way through the five day stretch from weekend to weekend. What better way to celebrate this zenith than a shiny brown leather seat (saddle) for a modern Triumph Bonneville complete with rear racing hump.

Here’s the return image of last weeks gal Friday. A-pillion with German friend at a Tridays event in Glemseck. Cafe racers gather to zoom a short 1/8 mile run, sup lager and talk motorrad.

Sunny, sunny, sunny. Bike is running well, new wheels and tires are confident underboot, and the new lid is a comfy brain-shed.
It doesn’t get much better than this!

Get yer leathers on, quiff your pompadour, spanner at the ready to nip-up loose bolts, a rag to mop the winter oil pool, and a fresh tank of petrol then spring roads await!
Quiff your hair

St David’s Day- enjoy some leek soup and sniff the daffodils. I unearthed this late sixties photo of some enthusiasts haring up the Llanberis Valley in Snowdonia. Wrapped up for a damp weekend during the Dragon Rally, an annual gathering organized by the Conwy MCC early in the year to ensure mud, rain and general character building efforts are encountered.

A store display offering items for the distinguished cafe racer rider. Pudd’n bowls as well as open-face Davida’s. Pilot goggles and silk scarves as well as a badge buckled belt. The pins adorning the leather jackets lapel are a neat detail too.
The fair fronted latter day Thruxton is looking the part too. Alloy tank? Why certainly sir!
