– just for completeness, there is a face mask with the Triumph logo. I found these simple coverings just steam my glasses up quickly. The KN95 filter type has a better mouth and nose space.

– Warren Beatty looking cool as a cat in the ‘75 movie about a charismatic and womanizing Beverly Hills hairdresser. The farcical story sees George Roundy tearing around Rodeo Drive & Sunset Boulevard on a purebred Tiger.

– what better way to escape across the Bavarian countryside than on a rugged tyred Triumph TR6 in German wartime feldgrau. Of course Steve makes it look effortlessly cool.

– lovely pencil illustration by artist Benedicte Waryn of a pre-unit Triumph chopper with a “hare-brained” owner. So much to like about the detailed drawing: from the clothing; to the custom bike; and the lush fur of the hare’s head.

– another photo of Ewan and his favorite marque. This is a caféd Moto Guzzi Nuovo Falcone. The famous bacon slicer flywheel obvious on the drive side. The green color scheme of the workshop furniture even matches the fuel tank.

– Jedi Knight and heroin addict Ewan McGregor is 50 today. Here’s an old photo of him as an aspiring actor living in Primrose Hill in the early nineties. His first bike for hoofing around the Big Smoke was a T3 Moto Guzzi dressed up to look like a Le Mans.

Start the week off with a shot of Vitamin Cee
– Bonneville with a fiery tank and surly gal. Warmer weather ahead as the season develops. Fresh days ahead.

– Mr Steve McQueen would have been 91 today. Always the King of Cool! he’s wearing his iconic blue dial Tag Heuer Monaco watch. The Norton Commando fits the Bill too!

– a couple of cheery lasses heading onto the open road to do a bit of glamping. they’d probably just going a few miles away but I’m sure adventure is guaranteed.

– heavily insulated Russian biker is aptly garbed to rip across an iced-up lake . Spike clad tires will maintain traction to put down the tremendous torque offered by the big 2400cc Triumph Rocket engine.

– we watched a six part crime drama on Amazon Prime last week. Based on a John Le Carré book of the same name The Night Manager has actor Tom Hiddleston become an undercover spy to a wealthy philanthropist arms dealer played by Hugh Laurie. One scene sees our protagonist ride a Triumph Thruxton around the rugged Atlantic coastal landscape of Devon. Good series superbly executed in the classical style of the genre.

– posed like some emotionally distanced couple in a Jean-Luc Goddard outing; this BSA Starfire plays a central role in the discourse between the laconic reserve of the anorak bespectacled male lead contemplating the idea of home, against the young femme fatale toying with a solitary freedom of the open road.

– Nostalgic photo of a lady and her motorcycle. Dressed in trench coat, cloth cap and goggles she’s ready to take to the roads.

– a green tee with a happy looking turkey pilgrim riding a dirt bike.
