Ride On | One-time Olympian and current jockey Victoria Pendleton swaps her pedal power and horse for a Triumph Speed Triple. She’s been taking further adventure riding training to enable her to join the club of adventure motorcycle escapades.

Would I lie to you? While I was cruising some 80’s music videos this evening I happened upon this snippet in the opening sequence of a Eurythmics hit from 1985. Her unruly boyfriend has a Kawasaki GPZ 900. Best color scheme too! That’s a great bike!

Mars Born | if you were born off planet what would you want to experience on Earth? Well, haring along on an old Triumph would be pretty much high on the list. This is a scene from The Space Between Us which is about a solar traveling teenage lad who visits his pen pal down on terra firma. It was a box office bomb but it ponders a cool thought.

Escapism | Sun sinking in the West sets mountains aglow. Park the bike in a meadow and kick your smile to the skies. Enjoy what life can offer you.

Dakar or Bust | evocative photography from Nikon wielding Roger DeSilva (1925-2008) who, after capturing atrocities of WW2, settled in Senegal and recorded the young country’s independence spirit amongst the chic lifestyle of celebrities and politicians. He has a retrospective in Paris exhibiting many of his beautiful imagery.

Comic Art | a compilation by motorcycle journalist Gary Inman of biker imagery. Dynamic cover!

Friday’s Femme Fatale | shuttered store fronts with graffiti scrawl provides a gritty backdrop to this confident lass on an old Triumph. Glittering fuchsia helmet adds to the glamour of women bikers.

Chequered Group | Sunny smiles under a Californian sky. More of the Hockie clan after an H&H race. The sled looks like it’s had fun in the dry sand and dirt.

Princess Leia 1940’s | The earmuff hair-do gives it away. Post war dame takes a racing crouch pose aboard this 500cc Tiger.

Like Steve McQueen | Singer songwriter Sheryl Crow sporting a cool tee which she is proud to wear.

Composition | unusual imagery for an old Trumpet. What looks like a golf course with a scrap yard provides a photoshopped backdrop for a portrait of the owners daughters. It’s like an 80’s album cover.
