even if you think about it! Judge Anderson is the psychic in Mega City One who goes after perp using thought alone.
Of course she’s armed with a palm-print Lawgiver and powerful Lawmaster bike.
Don’t let those sweet blond looks deceive you she’s already in your mind messing about with any bad criminally inclined thoughts…
Judge Dredd will bust your ass; Cassandra Anderson will bust your brain!

Latter day cover of a young cadet PSI Anderson.

They say you should stare at something yellow for 30 seconds each morning to start you off on a brighter note for the day ahead.
This Triumph Adventurer Sport is a definite morale booster for any sleepy eyes.
Look at the stars
Look how they shine for you
And everything you do
Yeah they were all yellow

Late last night
I heard the screen door slam
And a big yellow taxi
Took away my old man
Don’t it always seem to go
That you don’t know what you’ve got
Till it’s gone
They paved paradise
And put up a parking lot.

She wore her yellow sun-bonnet,
She wore her greenest gown;
She turned to the south wind
And curtsied up and down.
She turned to the sunlight
And shook her yellow head,
And whispered to her neighbor:
“Winter is dead.
AA Milne

I write on big yellow legal pads – ideas in outline form when I’m doing stand-up and stuff. It’s vivid that way. Robin Williams

So we sailed up to the sun
Till we found a sea of green
And we lived beneath the waves
In our yellow submarine.

Finish where we started: the magazine cover art from Monday here in grey simplicity. She’s ready for a jaunt with her thick wooly pullover. Though I doubt that open bag may spill its contents along the road ahead. Spotty pants will hide mud splatter from the damp country lanes her pilot will no doubt take her along…

A Cub speeds by and the bystanders twirl in amazement at the zippy little motor toting its rider along what looks like a typical street in a French town. An ornate streetlight, pollarded trees and high fashion ladies give it away.
Pooch looks on curiously.

ive seen inside one of these little 200cc ‘gins and if the power is packed it must be quite a dense proposition in the watch-like internals. There ain’t much room! Unless you can miniaturize the little ponies hidden in there. Quite a snappy checked smock our friend is parading: and a bobble hat to top it off. The heavy submariners sweater on the behelmeted gal says she’s up for a spin next…
The phone box sits quite Tardis-like in the background. I think the illustrator wanted something man-made amongst the autumnal backdrop. Once again gotta love that brushed ink work!

Another period advertisement for the Cub: it’s like a promotion from Madmen: suit, pipe and brylcreem. Modern high street shopper behind are a mere swish of the artists ink brush, the ‘Baby Bonnie’ looks splendid as its shown off by the gauntlet’d owner. Only one hundred and forty four pounds and fifteen shilling!

A pair of period shop bunting flags with an intrepid tiger rider. Getting some rodeo thrills and a yeeha yell a whoopin’ an’ a hollerin’! Hear her roar!
My tiger striped Geordie the Greyhound had a play date with a two year old today. Ada is more like a great niece and was full of energy leaping around the old gadgie. Go-go gal! Definitely a family resemblance.

Back in the day the doughty Cub could keep up with the best of ’em and go on to win many a trial competition. The riders liked them, they galloped over the observed courses and their popularity amongst the public as a daily rider to scoot to and from work. Wooded hillside with rubble stream bed needed in Illinois soon…

After yesterday’s beautiful example of a century-old survivor here is an old image of the Trusty Triumph when it was the cutting edge two-wheeled speedster. This is a 1915 view of an owner and his ride in New Zealand. Even commemorated on a stamp…
Tin sign of some flat capped chap haring along on his H across a rural landscape. Hints & Tips? Watch your trousers don’t get caught in that ruddy leather belt drive chain!

A British Racing Green color scheme looks like the way to go… Silver mudguards, blackened frame and a verdant tank.
It fits with the grassy slopes the tires grip to ascend and descend…
Golden logo glimmers in the sunlight…
Some go for the white fenders. Here this leading link fork has a Greeves air to the proceedings.
Green frame a little too much.
This older fixed frame is a nice balance.

Starting to consider a color scheme for the Cub. This one is looking good. Classic red topped tank, silver mudguards and black elsewhere.

The progression of fast. This chart represents the fastest production motorcycles over the last century. The decades long plateau reflects a half century reign of two British Greats: Brought Superior SS100 (TE Lawrence’s ride of choice) and the veritable Vincent Black Shadow. The steeper section have the early racing developments and the latter competitive superbike wars. My 1985 Ninja 900 takes up a few years in the late eighties.

I do like a good comic book cover. Here’s Captain Triumph: bicep swiping punches and jodhpur winged trousers and knee-length boots. No doubt he hares about on a 30’s Triumph Twin.
Next Week: Captain Future….. Wizard of Science!

A frame display of leather jacket patches seen by our correspondent Dean Rennie on his trip to Iowa. Each to display the wearers allegiance to the British marque. The oak leaf is perfect: an English Oak Quercus robur.
