More Skateboarding! Hugh ‘Bod’ Boyle is an Englishman relocated to SoCal to take on the boys of Dogtown and went and done good. He made good boards which can go for upward of $1,000 such as this mint Triumph motif deck from 1990.

Skateboard Art – these offer great ‘canvases’ for graffiti or screenprint Art. This example by Kyle Yarrington from Maryland is a hand drawn Triumph motor with a scribbled upon Union Jack-like backdrop. His Etsy store name is ZenAngel13.

Richie Cunningham takes Fonzies Moto for a spin in Arnold’s Diner.

Then again through the front door of his parents, Howard & Marion’s, house. Fonz wears his leather jacket over his dressing gown.

Arthur Fonzarelli- aka The Fonz. TV’s Happy Days’ King of Cool, riding into the scene on his Triumph TR5 and collar-up leather jacket. Greasy slick back hair and a fist bump to turn on the jukebox or start a car. 50’s Anericana when is was cool to reminisce during the doldrum 70’s – look up American Graffiti.
Richie Cunningham looks on in his ever bemused attitude.

Hebron IL – a glorious day weatherwise and a backroads jaunt through Lake and McHenry Counties ended up in a small crossroads town where a gathering of old and new motorcycles lined the main drag. Harley’s aplenty, Indians, Guzzi’s, Beemers and a few British specimens. We’ll follow up the weeks postings with the variety but start with this quintet of Triumphs old and new will start things off.

Taking their name after the cult classic Roger Corman 1966 B-Movie starring Peter Fonda this rocker group use the cafe racer as the equivalent to US Hells Angels choppers. This photo line-up has a bevy of BSA’s, Nortons and Triumphs. Clip-ons, quiffs, leathers and attitude. The middle Moto with ape hangers is …?

Green grow the rashes o.
This is a wee stunner. English tracker in black & green; a suitable mix of equipment for fun and grins along country lanes. Find a thatched country pub called the George & Dragon and sip a pint of ale under the blue skies.

Royal Signals – let’s get through the midweek with an airy leap over the captains sedan. Good form will see us land somewhere beyond Thursday and land aplombly in Friday.

This small 250cc Triumph was my first wheels in the US back in ’98. It helped me easily get my motorcycle license endorsement and was a fun bike. It was called the Trophy, not to be confused by the larger twin, and was an amalgamation of the BSA Starfire built at Small Heath and some Meriden parts. Production quality was poor and apparently warranty calls drained the meager coffers of the ailing industry. The writing was on the wall and this little roadster had its back against it in the firing line.
I sold mine for the same as what I paid for it ($1,000) then went and got my green Ninja.
