Old Sketch | probably doodled in the early eighties. I dug our this dirt bike drawing from a pile of papers I brought back from the UK on our last trip. I think I copied out of the Radio Times for the programme listing of Kick Start which I used to love watching.
Blowing Bubbles | awesome sketch by Elsa Chang of some lass laying back sending soap bubbles into the sky. The grey wash with brushed ink work is fluid and inspired.
Luftballon | not ninety nine… just the one. The bobber ‘cycle rider is adrift with the escapism one experiences when cruising along. Fun artwork from Douglas Thompson who captures the gravity defying nature of motorcycling.

First Spread | Prog 2 March 5 1977. This is when Judge Dredd burst out of the page on his Lawmaster. Fine illustration by the unmatchable Carlos Ezquerra, who created the original look of the Judge’s, though the remainder of the strips pages were drawn by Mick McMahon who was to further refine the Dredd look over the following couple of years.

Skydog | supremo guitarist Duane Allman picking away on his ’59 Cherry Sunburst Gibson Les Paul. He looks to be in another zone altogether. Cool t-shirt.
Pickup | More guitar tomfoolery with a Triumph logo emblazoned across the pick guard.
Axe | instrumental crossover of the original ’59 Triumph Bonneville color scheme applied to an electric guitar.
Black ‘n’ White | neat graphic of the classic per-unit engine from the late fifties. It would make a cool tee-shirt.
