Cub is a baby bear

image

Back from a long days drive over to the NW extremity of Illinois. The charming town of Galena nestled amidst the surrounding rolling landscape of that area. Quite bucolic. The seller Bill was a retiree with bikes and cars as a hobby. He was working on a couple of Cub projects and the frame and engine cases were surplus to requirements. The above picture is posted for inspiration! Also learned of a few Cubby specialists in the vicinity which may prove useful. As Sherlock might say: “the project is afoot!”

  1. Woooooooooh David,
    Now we’re cooking..
The above photo shows a lovely little thing.. For myself, I’d be both thrilled and delighted to have it.
Tho’ I’ve never seen a GREEN trial rep’ before.. I do feel the GREEN over SILVER is the way forward.
The whole picture here is just grand.. all of a together-ness.. if you will. It just looks the BUSINESS. Love it.
Just an inch or two more padding on the seat tho’, for my old bones, when it’s built.
Just in case I come round for a “trial” run [geddit..?]…
Good for you Son.. well done.
    Regards ever.

  2. I should have asked.. Is there a trials scene where you are..? Do you intend to compete on it..? And.. what capacity will you run it at.. 175/200/250 [all of which compete in the UK pre 65 scene]..?
