Grunge Band HQ | just signed a lease for a garage space for the bikes. Instead of the subterranean offering which sometimes gets a tad dank I will now have an above ground secure space off an alley. It’s securely tucked away from prying eyes.

One Hundred & Seventeen – I saw this banner draped off a wall at Motoworks last weekend.

Signs | It’s good to know where you’re going; especially when the signage depicts an interesting journey ahead. My favorite is the Pacific Coast Highway with an added plaque stating “74 Miles ahead”.

Vintage Spin | the heated Dog Days aren’t my favorite but a little roadward breeze can help cool proceedings. I took the old Bonnie out to ruffle its feathers. She can certainly put a smile on your face.

Six by Nine | I managed to get a spin on the Tiger yesterday going between project locations. Weather was perfect and a quiet backroad empty of traffic.

International Cat Day
“Since each of us is blessed with only one life, why not live it with a cat?” – Robert Stearns

Bayou Biker | CCR frontman John Fogarty hoofing around on a Honda Scrambler – Creedence Clearwater Revival were a mainstay of late sixties music with their early progressive swamp rock sound.

Is it a Byrd? Bassist Chris Hillman looking hip on a Triumph back in the sixties. I was listening to McGuinn, Crosby, Clarke, Clark and Hillman with their Easy Rider soundtrack earlier when preparing the evening meal.

Desert Sled | awesome artwork of Steve with obligatory fag in mouth getting ready for some dusty hare across the arid SoCal landscape. By TM Fritz

The Duke | A different kind of horse for John Wayne. Comic book adventures chasing hoodlums around a mountainside hairpin bend.

Usonian | On our weeklong trip around Wisconsin we have visited a number of Frank Lloyd Wright buildings. Today we stopped by the Herbert Jacobs house which was built in 1937. A very early version of his ‘everyman’ Usonian home its carport was complete with a classic 60’s Swedish sports-tourer Volvo P1800. The red car works superbly with the red brick and Cherokee red paving.

Bacon | Hogs can be other bikes too! Here’s a perfectly well engineered custom machine which has an adapted 3 cylinder Diesel engine that can be run on bacon grease. This was commissioned by Hormel Foods who make Spam.
