Le Mans | Went to the flicks to see Ford vs Ferrari. Staring Matt Damon as Carroll Shelby and Christian Bale as Ken Miles. It tells the story behind the creation of the GT40 and its development and subsequent domination of the 24 hour race in the latter half of the sixties. Two Thumbs Up.
Mars Born | if you were born off planet what would you want to experience on Earth? Well, haring along on an old Triumph would be pretty much high on the list. This is a scene from The Space Between Us which is about a solar traveling teenage lad who visits his pen pal down on terra firma. It was a box office bomb but it ponders a cool thought.
En plein air | delightful intimate urban scene by talented artist Vicky Fang. Watercolor wash touched-up with ink line-work. I just love this kind of illustration.
Uphill Struggle | midweek comes and goes yet there’s still an incline to overcome. It must be the dark mornings as we near the winter solstice.
Car Dog Bike | a funny photo to lighten the start of the week. Still trying to figure out the automobile but the bike is a Vincent Black Prince for sure. The dog? He’s called Scout.
Mayhem | This is what can happen if you drive around with a cat on your head. It may startle, dug it’s claws into your scalp, causing you to careen across the road and the ongoing calamity spreads to all other roadway and path users. Remember: don’t drive around with a cat on your head, no matter how cool you might think it seems!
Double Oh Seven | The latest offering in the long running James Bond franchise had its first trailer released yesterday. No Time To Die stars Daniel Craig in his fifth and final outing as the MI6 agent. Of course action will ensue with amazing stunts which include a couple of Triumph motorcycles. A Scrambler 1200 and the all new Tiger 900 are given a run for their money is chase sequences. The DB5 gets a healthy nod in the action too of course.
Convergence | more promotional bumph for the 2020 Tiger. This time a couple sprinting across some arid scene with full luggage kit. As well as a base model there is a road specific GT model and continent busting Rally Pro model.
Triumph Tiger | The new 2020 adventure bike from the canny folk at Hinckley have just launched their latest mid size do-anything motorcycle. It’s triple cylinder engine has more grunt where it’s needed and a lighter weight provides what look like a very capable machine. I’ll post more information as details emerge.
Poorly | There May be some intermittent postings over the next few days. Back from our travels but full of a bad cold and hacking cough. Normal service will resume in due course…
