– a pretty black standard bike spied on a street near work today. This big Honda was introduced ten years ago as a basic big motorcycle. Gentleman qualities in a tuxedo finish.

– if you grew up in Britain in the Seventies you would surely remember the children’s sci-fi tv show The Tomorrow People. I watched episode 1 last night and happened upon these pair of cockney thugs who were chasing the teenage telepaths on BSA bikes. Nostalgia.

Under the Hawthorn
– a quick pit stop in a Forest Preserve. The woodland had been cleared of its understory so good filtered views through the dappled shade from the canopy was enjoyed.

– Gorillaz bassist Murdoc Niccals gets up to no good street art in this body art scene.

– a good place to view the world from when scooting around the lanes, roads and highways.

– temperatures in the 70’s and a light breeze off the Lake gave us a splendid ride through Lake County. A couple of unexplored roads that led back to bucolic farm scenes gave us a delightful few miles of riding.

It’s always so special when you find these compositions through leafy frames to elegant farmsteads.


– typically the Vincent is finished in gloss black, but this one has been painted fire engine red. It sets the engine off very well. Like emergency vehicles I bet this would part traffic.
